Human Rights Campaign added to Green for a Cause

Eco-Friendly G Wear Creates Equality T-shirts to Support HRC
G Wear, a Texas-based company has dedicated four pieces in their latest “Green for a Cause” line to support non-profit work, including the Human Rights Campaign. Proceeds from their State Equality and Love t-shirts will benefit the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization.

Kevin Jones Named as G Wear President

NEW STRIDES IN THE NEW YEAR FOR G WEAR CLOTHING BRAND – CONTENDER WITH WINNERS IN PLACE - NEW PRESIDENT TO TAKE BRAND TO NEXT FASHIONABLE LEVEL
AIMING TO PROVIDE STYLISH, ONE-OF-A-Kind, recycled t’s to fashion hungry fans across the country

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

January 7, 2014

DALLAS, TX – G Wear has announced that Kevin Jones has been appointed President. Current CEO, Michael Wilson is excited about the direction the company is headed.
“My background is business, an arena I love,” explained Michael Wilson, current G Wear CEO and member of the 1980 Olympic men’s gymnastics team. “But I needed someone with a creative, innovative vision to take G Wear to the next level. We refuse to be a mediocre brand - we want to stand out because we have an incredible story supporting us! I believe Kevin’s experience in marketing and sales along with his ability to build and motivate a team will be what helps G Wear succeed!”
Wilson bought G Wear in 2011 after stumbling upon the T’s in his local town of Dallas, TX. His new business venture shortly led to a passion now fueling the growth and direction of G Wear to become a big name in the fashion world.
kevin-jones-gwear2.jpgBefore accepting the position, Jones was an innovator and leader in the cheerleading and dance industry for over 30 years. Formerly president and founder of Spirit Innovations, Jones realized the need to have products that stand out.
“I’m very excited to further develop, expand and take the unique and eco-friendly apparel and products that G Wear is known for to the national market. We know that the ecologically conscious mission of G Wear will resonate with buyers and customers across the country,” said Jones.
Already available in 29 states, G Wear is looking to grow the number of boutiques offering their eco-friendly apparel. G Wear products are made from recycled material and feature hand sewn appliqués which lend each item a custom, one-of-a-kind feel. In order to remain competitive, G Wear will be launching their children’s line first quarter of 2014.
With integral positions already filled, Jones will be recruiting key players for the G Wear roster. “We are adding to our sales team and increasing production capabilities as we focus on being a company that provides unique and valued designs and products to our customers. I appreciate the confidence of the G Wear Board of Directors in selecting me to take the company to the next level and am excited with this new challenge,” said Jones.
“When it comes to our competition, I think it’s ourselves! We are a US brand that just happens to be original, stylish and eco-friendly – what more could we ask for? We get to set the bar high and exceed our own expectations which are to have our designs make the individuals wearing them feel their style is unique!”
Using t-shirts as a “canvas” and recycled t’s as stitched-appliques, G Wear creates designs that allow the wearer to communicate a relaxed style all their own, with no two shirts being alike prices range from $44 to $74. Guests visiting the website www.myGWear.com can pick their favorite design, shirt color, and style, reflecting their own personality.
G Wear is also a socially conscious brand and recognizes the need to give back to those in need, on a local and national level. Their largest partnerships are with Make-A-Wish North Texas Foundation, the Emmitt Smith Foundation and the Lopez Foundation.
